The art
of arriving.

Los Angeles's most discerning hotels, restaurants and residences trust Curbstand to operate the most important moment of their guest's visit — the first impression, and the last goodbye.

An introduction

A quiet standard of hospitality, brought to the curb.

For more than a decade, Curbstand has operated valet and parking for the addresses that define Los Angeles — five-star hotels, leading restaurants, members-only clubs, and the residences where service is expected to be invisible until the moment it is needed.

We are a single, vertically integrated operating company. Uniformed staff, in-house training, our own technology, and a back-office that answers when something matters. The result is a curb that runs as quietly as the lobby behind it.

About Curbstand

A decade of operating
the curb of Los Angeles.

An operating company built around a single, stubborn idea — that the most personal moment of a guest's visit should be the most thoughtfully designed.

A philosophy

The curb is hospitality's first sentence.

In 2013, Curbstand was founded on a single observation: that of all the moments in a guest's visit, the one we cared the least about — the handoff of the car — was very often the first and last impression of the entire experience.

So we set out to operate it differently. To staff it with people who understood hospitality. To equip them with technology that respected the guest's time. And to refuse to sub-contract any of it.

More than a decade later, that philosophy is still the only thing the company is organized around.

C
How we work

Vertically integrated, by design.

Curbstand is a single, unified operating company. We do not assemble a parking service from sub-contractors and call it a brand. Every component is owned and operated in-house:

  • 01The technology — mobile ticketing, payment, dispatch and reconciliation
  • 02The workforce — uniformed W-2 employees, hired and trained internally
  • 03The training — on-property, ongoing, accountable to a clear standard
  • 04The back-office — claims, payroll, partner reporting, all in-house
In conversation

A company built on relationships that last.

Our oldest partners — h.wood Group, JSX, Pali Hotel Group — have been with us for nearly a decade. We don't believe that's a coincidence. The properties that choose Curbstand tend to be the ones that take the longest view, and so do we.

Leadership

The people behind the curb.

Curbstand is led by a small team of operators with deep roots in Los Angeles hospitality, technology and operations. Together they set the standard that every member of our staff is asked to meet.

Arya Alexander, Founder & CEO of Curbstand
Chief Executive Officer

Arya Alexander

Chief Executive Officer

Arya Alexander founded Curbstand in 2013 with a single, stubborn idea: that the most personal moment of a guest's visit — the handoff of their car — should be the most thoughtfully designed, not the most overlooked.

Under his leadership, Curbstand has grown from a single mobile-valet app into one of Los Angeles's most trusted privately held parking operators, working with the city's leading hotels, restaurants and residential developers.

Arya is involved in every flagship account the company opens and remains, by his own description, the company's most demanding customer.

The curb is the most personal moment of a guest's visit. We treat it that way.

Leadership

Supporting Arya Alexander, Curbstand's senior leadership team operates from our headquarters in Beverly Hills. Their combined experience spans hospitality, finance, operations and people management — cumulated at Curbstand with a shared goal of operating the curb to a standard that property partners can build their reputation around.

Operating principles

How our team makes decisions, every day.

i — Hospitality first

The first impression and the last.

A valet attendant is the first person a guest meets and the last person they say goodbye to. We hire and train for that responsibility before anything else.

ii — Own the experience

In-house, end to end.

Uniformed W-2 employees. In-house training, equipment and back-office. We don't sub-contract the experience because the experience is the product.

iii — Earn the curb

Every shift, every night.

Partner properties stay with us for a decade not because of a contract — but because the curb runs better, the revenue is higher, and the guests come back.

An operating relationship

More than a service. A partnership.

Curbstand operates valet programs for hotels, restaurants and residences that view the curb as an extension of their property — not a vendor relationship to be managed at arm's length.

Every account is run by a dedicated operating team that knows the property, the guest profile, the peak hours and the back-of-house culture. We are not a national chain rotating its district managers through your driveway.

  • 01Dedicated property-level operating team
  • 02Uniformed W-2 employees with full BBSI benefits

Technology

Software built for the operation.

Every Curbstand-operated property runs on our proprietary platform — built by us, for us, and tuned for the specific cadence of valet operations rather than the generic problems of parking technology in general.

Guests receive mobile tickets, request their cars from their phone, and pay through a tap. Properties receive real-time visibility into volume, dwell time, revenue and exception cases. Partners receive monthly reports that actually mean something.

  • 01Mobile ticketing — no paper, no friction
  • 02Integrated payment, validation and comp management
  • 03Live partner dashboard with ticket, time and revenue data
  • 04Monthly reconciliation and reporting, automated
A word on staff

We hire people, not headcount.

Every member of our frontline workforce is a W-2 employee with benefits administered through BBSI as PEO. We made that transition because the best valet attendants are people who have made a career of it — and careers require benefits.

  • 03Flexible scheduling across 100+ active locations
  • 04Tip pooling — transparent, fair, weekly
  • 05Promotion from within — every supervisor started on a curb
